Finished with some tokens in your Phantom wallet? Connect Phantom to Sol Incinerator to burn the ones you no longer want and get available SOL deposits back. You can also recover SOL from empty accounts without burning anything.
How do you burn tokens in Phantom?
Open Sol Incinerator, connect Phantom and switch to Pro Mode. Select the Solana tokens you want to burn, check what you’ll get back, and approve the transactions in Phantom. The selected tokens are permanently destroyed; supported account closures return their available SOL after costs.
1. Connect the Phantom account you want to clean
Open Sol Incinerator and choose Phantom. If you have several accounts in Phantom, check that the connected address is the one holding the tokens. The scan is free and doesn’t need a transaction signature.
On your phone, open the site in Phantom’s browser. If switching between apps interrupts the connection, our mobile cleanup guide can help.
2. Pick the tokens you’re finished with
Switch to Pro Mode and select the unwanted tokens. Check their names, mint addresses and amounts so you keep everything you still want.
For a token you recognize that still has trading value, check a swap quote first. Selling can recover that value as well as leave an empty account ready for cleanup.
Burning is permanent. Only select assets you intend to destroy, and don’t follow links in suspicious token names or NFT descriptions.
3. Approve the burn in Phantom
Review the selected assets and SOL recovery, then approve the transactions in Phantom. Larger selections may need several approvals. Once they confirm, the burned tokens are gone and the recovered SOL is in your wallet.
If you stop partway through, check what confirmed and scan again for the remaining items.
Get SOL back without burning
Already sold or sent the tokens? Their empty accounts may still hold deposits. Fun Mode helps you reclaim those deposits and supported excess rent while keeping your tokens and NFTs.
See our empty-account guide if an account won’t close. If there’s no SOL to pay the upfront network fee, Gasless Pay handles it automatically when your transaction qualifies.
What does Phantom’s own Burn Token option do?
Phantom documents a burn option for supported Solana collectibles: open Collectibles, select the NFT, then choose More → Burn Token and confirm. Its official guide explains the restrictions. That burn is permanent too.
For token cleanup and selecting multiple supported assets, connect Phantom to Sol Incinerator. Hiding an item in Phantom only changes the display; it doesn’t recover account deposits.
How much SOL will I recover?
It depends on the accounts your cleanup can close and the SOL they hold. There’s no fixed payout per token or NFT. Compressed NFTs don’t have individual rent deposits, so burning them returns no SOL.
Keep more of your recovery with our 2% base fee; our standard-rate comparison shows the difference. Operation-specific minimums and network costs also apply, so check the amount after costs before approving. Gasless Pay, when used, takes its quoted charge from the same recovery.
